Utah Cyber Invitational

The Utah Cyber Invitational will be a competitive event bringing together the best schools and professional / hobby groups to compete in a single forum.  It will provide thrilling opportunities to compare notes with peers and network with like-minded professionals.

The initial concept for the UCI is to use team scores from existing competitions as filtering criteria.  In the spirit of invitational tournaments, only invited teams will be permitted to attend and compete.  Currently, compeittions from UTSA's Center for Infrastructure Assurance and Security (CIAS) are being considered to be the primary filtering criteria.

  • At the Middle School level, the fall Cyber Patriot season and the spring (TBD) season will be the filter
  • At the High School level, the fall Cyber Patriot season and the spring National Cyber League are under consideration
  • At the Collegiate level, the National College Cyber Defense Competition is being considered
  • For professionals, (TBD) will be the filtering critera
Those teams local to Utah that perform well in their relevant competitions will be invited to compete head-to-head against the other invited teams in their class.  They will also have the opportunity to mix with the other teams and watch them compete, as well as meet sponsors and others looking for skilled cyber security talent at all levels.  For more information or to get involved in planning and executing UCI, please send an email to UCI@utahsec.org.
